Position Summary The Store Director oversees all aspects of store operations and team leadership, driving performance, ensuring high standards of retail execution and customer experience, and developing leaders within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the store leadership team to build a high-performing organization and minimize turnover.
- Ensure store-wide standards for cleanliness, maintenance, merchandising, and signage are consistently met.
- Foster a positive work environment with teamwork, respect, and high morale.
- Use data-driven strategies to drive sales growth, and adapt to local market conditions.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, labor, margins, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, food-safety, and company standards.
- Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high service standards.
- Promote staff development through training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Contribute ideas to improve store and regional operations, efficiency, and growth.
What You Will Do
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with business goals.
- Forecast performance and lead corrective plans to address financial or operational gaps.
- Identify opportunities to drive store traffic via community events, outreach, and exceptional service.
- Recruit, hire, and train employees, retaining top talent.
- Direct management of facility operations, campaigns, promotions, and inventory control.
- Enforce company policies and maintain store appearance and team presentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Corporate or Executive Team
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years as a Store Director, GM, or similar role in a high-volume grocery or restaurant setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Proven financial acumen: labor management, margins, expense control, P&L oversight.
- Track record of leading high-performing teams with a focus on engagement and retention.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
