What You Will Do:

• Work in a team to bake pastries from scratch, following carefully crafted recipes to maintain Erewhon product standards.
• Lead a team of about 10 bakers to meet daily production needs. 
• Assist in scheduling team to meet business needs. 
• Ensure the department meets production needs by delegating tasks to the team. 
• Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make pastries and bread.
• Assist the team in creating new recipes, and train the team on how to produce the new products. 
• Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality control.
• Assist with pastry and bakery production, maintaining cleanliness and appropriate supplies stocked.
• Creatively decorate pastries and bakery products.
• Ensure the highest quality of product is produced at all times and in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned. 

What You Will Bring:

• At least 1 year of management experience. 
• At least 1 year of experience working in a fast paced baking environment required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. 
• Ability to work the PM shift. 
• Knowledge of utilizing deck ovens, rack ovens, and proofers. 
• Availability to work late afternoons and evenings. 
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Great communication skills and work ethic.
